Lera Lynn contributes to Patterson Hood and The Downtown 13’s “After It’s Gone”

Lera Lynn sings background harmonies on a new song, "After It's Gone," by Drive- By Truckers leader Patterson Hood, which is a protest against the proposed development of a massive Walmart flagship store near dowtown Athens. “This Atlanta developer (Selig Enterprises) wants to clog our cultural heart and build a bunker the size of three city blocks next to the vibrant downtown scene,” Hood said in a statement. “They hit The Easy Button: a big box store in our downtown district is clearly misguided and a somewhat ridiculous notion. Downtown Athens is a dynamic network of local businesses—Athens already has a meaningful brand and we are extremely protective of it."
